North Texas Communities Helping Texas Hill Country Communities through Recycling
Like many of you, all of us at Community Waste Disposal were deeply saddened by the tragic flooding that occurred in Kerr County on July 4th. Our hearts go out to the victims, the families who have been displaced, and the first responders who continue to serve with courage and compassion.
What is CWD doing?
For the entire month of August 2025, CWD will donate $10.00 per ton of recyclable materials collected across all the communities we serve to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, directly benefiting those impacted by the Kerr County flood.
What can you do?
We invite you to spread the word and encourage residents to recycle more than ever this August. The more they recycle, the more we can give.
What’s next?
This initiative is modeled after a similar program CWD launched in 2005 — and that effort resulted in a 15% increase in community recycling! We’re excited to see that kind of momentum again and plan to host a special donation presentation in early October (more details coming soon).
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your CWD municipal representative — Robert Medigovich, Wanda Smith, or Nicole Roemer. You’re also welcome to contact me directly any time.
Thank you for helping us turn community action into meaningful support. We’re honored to serve alongside you.
