Trash Collection

Residential Addresses East of I-35

Trash will be collected twice a week. See Service Schedule tab for collection map to determine the pickup days for your area.

Household trash may be placed in a CWD-provided grey 95-gallon trash cart*, OR in disposable bags or boxes. When filled, bags and boxes may not weigh more than 50 pounds each. Resident-owned containers will not be serviced. 

To help protect our employees, we strongly encourage that ALL HOUSEHOLD TRASH BE PLACED IN BAGS inside the CWD-provided grey 95-gallon trash cart. Please do not overfill the cart and make sure the lid is completely closed. Overloaded carts will not be serviced. Position the cart at the curb.

*To request delivery of a garbage cart, please fill out this online order form. There is no fee for the garbage cart and no one has to be home when the cart is delivered.

Westside Residential Addresses (West of I-35)

Trash will be collected twice a week. See Service Schedule tab for collection map to determine the pickup day for your area.

Household trash must be placed in a CWD-provided grey 95-gallon trash cart.

All Residents

Please place trash items out no later than 7:00 a.m. for pickup beginning 7:00 a.m. on your service day(s). Ensure the trash receptacles and the recycle cart are separated by at least three feet, and three feet away from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches.

Place bagged leaves by curb on designated trash day.

Recycling Services

Recycling will be picked up once a week. See Service Schedule tab for collection map to determine the pickup days for your area.

All recyclables must be placed inside the blue 95-gallon recycle cart.

Place all recyclable items out no later than 7:00 a.m. for pickup beginning at 7:00 a.m. on your service day(s). Bulk & Brush

Bulk is collected once a month, on your recycling day, during the first full week that begins on Monday.

A   Residents of Farmers Branch have two options for drop off of household trash or bulk at no additional charge.
