Trash Collection
Trash will be collected weekly, on Wednesday.
To help protect our employees, we strongly encourage that ALL HOUSEHOLD TRASH BE PLACED IN BAGS inside the CWD-provided grey 95-gallon trash cart.
Place all trash items out no later than 7:00 am for pickup between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on your service days. Please ensure the trash cart and the recycle cart are separated by at least three feet, and three feet away from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches. Position the trash cart with the wheels toward the residence.
Recycling Services
Recycling will be picked up weekly, on Wednesday.
All RECYCLABLES must be empty, clean, and dry, and placed LOOSELY inside the CWD-provided blue 95-gallon recycle cart. DO NOT BAG RECYCLABLES.

Please ensure there is a 16-foot clearance above your cart. Position the recycle cart with the wheels toward the residence.
Recycling Guidelines
Bulk & Brush
Bulky waste will be collected on your regular trash day, up to two cubic yards per collection. Tied and bundled brush will be picked up in unlimited quantities. Place all bulk and brush next to, and at least three feet from, your trash receptacle no later than 7:00 a.m. on your trash day. NO LOOSE BRUSH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Bulky Waste
Bulky waste will be collected once a week, on your regular trash pickup day. You are limited to two cubic yards (6′ x 3′ x 3′) of bulky waste per collection.
Bulk Items – Acceptable
- Toys and Yard Tools Tagged as “Bulk Item”
- Furniture
- Bundled Carpet in 4-foot Lengths
- Fence Panels No Larger than 4′ x 6′
- Washing Machines, Dryers, Water Heaters and Kitchen Appliances
- Refrigerators/Freezers (Must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants)
Bulk Items – Prohibited
- Single Items Weighing More than 150 lbs.
- Commercial Construction and Remodeling Debris
- Household Hazardous Waste
- Tires, Batteries, and Propane Tanks
- Loose Debris (Debris must be placed in a box or other container no larger than 2′ x 2′ x 4′ and weigh no more than 50 pounds.)
Important! CWD does not provide pickup for commercial demolition, construction, nor remodeling debris. Household debris must be containerized to be eligible for pickup. The box or other disposable container must be no larger than 2′ x 2′ x 4′ and weigh no more than 50 pounds.
Tied & Bundled Brush
Tied and bundled brush will be collected, in unlimited quantities, once a week on your regular trash pickup day. Tied and bundled brush must weigh less than 40 lbs., and be no longer than four feet. NO LOOSE BRUSH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Additional Trash and Bulk Items
Special collection of items that do not fit into the bulk category must be arranged through CWD and are subject to an additional charge for collection. Please call 972.392.9300/Option 2 for a cost estimate.

Billing
CWD will be billing residents quarterly.
Payment Options
Online: Select Pay My Bill and follow the instructions on the Pay My Bill page. Please have the following information on hand:
- CWD account number
- Invoice number
- Total billed amount from the invoice
Mail: Send your payment to CWD in the envelope provided to you in your quarterly bill.
In Person: Bring your check or cash, along with your payment coupon, to the CWD Administration Building at 2010 California Crossing Road, Dallas, TX 75220.

A Please call CWD at 972.392.9300/Option 2. There is a cost to replace any lost/stolen carts and carts damaged by fire.
