Municipal Services

CWD offers a variety of options for municipal accounts; these municipal clients consist of all of CWD’s exclusive franchise cities.

CWD provides curbside residential refuse services weekly.  We offer various refuse containers to meet all waste management needs.  The equipment necessary for these services includes bag only services, customer-provided reusable trash containers, and CWD-provided 95-gallon grey trash carts.

CWD can provide bulk and/or brush collection services customized for each city’s specific residential needs.

CWD provides curbside residential recycling services. We began offering curbside recycling programs in 1992. Our containers utilized for residential recycling services include the 18-gallon green bin, 33-gallon blue bag, 65-gallon blue cart, and 95 gallon blue cart (pictured).

X-treme Green Events allow residents to help their community by creating a place where they can bring their recyclable materials.  Along with HHW, residents can bring household metal goods, used electronics, and automotive tires.  An on-site document shredding service is also available.  The X-treme Green Events will fill a niche that is sorely lacking in many residential waste and recycling removal of programs.  CWD manages these events and customizes each according to the needs of the city.

Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste

CWD’s Door Side Collection Program encourages safe, easy, and responsible disposal of approved hazardous waste and electronics.

CWD’s Door Side Collection Program is dedicated to the city and its residents, ensuring that hazardous materials are disposed of properly to avoid injury and contamination of our environment.

Acceptable vs. Non-Acceptable

Items accepted via the HH&EW Door Side Collection Program include poison, solvent, oil-based and latex paints, aerosols, used motor oil, auto batteries, fluorescent tubes, and televisions.  Refer to the list provided to you with your HH&EW Door Side Collection kit for additional information.

We cannot accept business or at-home business waste through this program.

On Collection Day

  1. Put your household hazardous and electronic waste inside the bag, using only the bag provided to you.  Please do not overfill the bag, and close it securely with the zip tie provided.
  2. Place electronics, auto batteries, and/or fluorescent tubes in cardboard boxes and place them outside the bag.  Wrap fluorescent tubes together with tape if you have more than one.  If available, use the original packaging to hold the tubes and stand them up to prevent breakage.
  3. By 7:00 a.m., place the secured bag at your doorstep, where CWD will pick it up.  Do not place the bag in or near an alley, curb, nor street.  Do not allow children nor pets access to the bag.

Community Waste Disposal is able to offer a customized program to encourage yard waste recycling and composting. This program requires that leaves and grass clippings are placed in biodegradable bags to maximize our ”green” efforts. Plastic bags, food waste, and any un-natural or foreign debris are prohibited.
