SERVICE TO MCLENDON-CHISHOLM BEGINS JANUARY 1, 2019. THIS PAGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
In partnership with the City of McLendon-Chisholm, Community Waste Disposal will provide a comprehensive program for all refuse and recycling needs beginning January 1, 2019.

Trash Collection

Trash will be collected once a week.

All trash must be placed in bags inside the grey 95-gallon trash cart. 

Place all trash items out no later than 7:00 am for pickup between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on your service days. Please ensure the trash cart and the recycle cart are separated by at least three (3) feet, and at least three (3) feet away from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches. Overloaded carts or carts blocked by cars will not be serviced.

Position the trash cart with the wheels toward the residence.

Recycling Services

Recycling will be picked up once a week.

All recyclables must be placed inside the blue 95-gallon recycle cart.

Bulky Waste

Bulk refuse items are items that do not fit in your cart; however, hazardous waste, construction material and remodeling debris will not be collected. Tree limbs need to be 4 feet by 2 feet bundled and tied.

  • Washing Machines and Dryers
  • Toys tagged as “Bulk Item”
  • Yard Tools Tagged as “Bulk Item”
  • Bundled Carpet in 4-Foot Lengths
  • Water Heaters (drained)
  • Furniture Fence Panels Not Bigger than 4 feet x 6 feet
  • Bagged Leaves
  • Refrigerators/Freezers (must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerant)

Bulk Items – Prohibited

  • Commercial Construction or Remodeling Debris. Call CWD for a pick-up estimate.
  • Household Hazardous Waste (paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, etc.).
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Concrete
  • Miscellaneous Automotive Parts

CWD provides all Commercial Trash and Recycling Services in the City of McLendon-Chisholm.

Q     How do I get my trash cart replaced if it is damaged or has normal wear and tear? Does it cost anything?
A     Please call CWD at 972.392.9300, Option 2. There is no cost for a replacement unless the damage was caused by fire.
