Place your household trash inside the grey 95-gallon trash cart. If you have additional household trash, you may put out up to three (3) bags per service day. When filled, bags may not weigh more than 50 pounds each.
Place your trash cart out no later than 7:00 am for pickup between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on your service days. Please ensure the cart is three (3) feet away from all obstacles such as other carts, mailboxes, fences, gas meters, and drainage ditches.
Recycling will be picked up weekly. See Service Schedule tab for collection map to determine the pickup days in your area.
Recyclables must be placed in the appropriate CWD receptacles:

Bulky waste will be collected on your second trash pickup day of the week.
Place all bulky waste curbside in front of your home no later than 7:00 am for pickup between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on your designated pickup day.
Important! CWD does not provide pickup for commercial demolition, construction, nor remodeling debris. Household debris must be containerized to be eligible for pickup. The box or other disposable container must be no larger than 2′ x 2′ x 4′ and weigh no more than 50 pounds.
You are limited to four (4) cubic yards (4′ x 7′ x 4′) of bulky waste per collection.

- Toys and Yard Tools Tagged as “Bulk Item”
- Bundled Carpet in 4-foot Lengths
- Fence Panels No Larger than 4′ x 6′
- Washing Machines, Dryers, Water Heaters and Kitchen Appliances
- Refrigerators/Freezers (Must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants)
Bulk Items – Prohibited
- Commercial Construction and Remodeling Debris
- Household Hazardous Waste
- Tires, Batteries, and Propane Tanks
- Loose Debris (Debris must be placed in a box or other container no larger than 2′ x 2′ x 4′ and weigh no more than 50 pounds.)
Brush will be collected every Wednesday.
Place all brush items curbside in front of your home no later than 7:00 am for pickup between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
You are limited to 10 cubic yards of brush per collection.
Limbs can be no larger than 6″ in diameter and no longer than 10 feet. Do not mix brush with other debris.
Brush items exceeding the guidelines will not be collected. If your pile exceeds the acceptable limit, please call the City of Balch Springs at 972.286.4477 for a price quote.
X-treme Green Events
CWD will host one X-treme Green Event per year in the City of Balch Springs.
An X-treme Green Event is a one-stop place to dispose of household hazardous waste, automotive tires, used electronics and household metal goods. Confidential document shredding is also available on site.
CWD provides all Commercial Trash and Recycling Services to customers in the City of Balch Springs.
