HH&EW General Guidelines

  • Place your household hazardous & electronic waste inside the bag, using only the bag provided to you.*
  • Do not overfill the bag.
  • Close the bag securely.

*If you have electronics, auto batteries, and/or fluorescent tubes, they must be placed in cardboard boxes outside the bag.  Wrap fluorescent tubes together with tape if you have more than one.  If available, use the original packaging to hold the tubes and stand them up to prevent breakage.

Acceptable vs. Non-Acceptable

We are able to accept most household chemicals, household hazardous waste materials, and electronic waste items, but not all.  The most common items have been listed above.

We cannot accept business or at-home business waste through this program.

On Collection Day

  1. By 7:00 am on your scheduled collection day, please place the secured bag at your doorstep, where CWD will pick it up.  Do not place the bag in or near an alley, curb nor street.  Do not allow children nor pets access to the bag.
  2. Place electronics, auto batteries, and fluorescent bulbs in cardboard boxes and place them next to the filled bag.
