In partnership with the City of Lancaster, Community Waste Disposal provides a comprehensive program for all refuse and recycling needs.

Residents should place all items at your front curb by 7 am for service between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Household trash should be in disposable bags inside the provided 95-gallon trash carts.

Trash cart must be 3 ft. away from the recycle cart and 5 ft. away from any obstacles: such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters or drainage ditches and have a 16 ft. clearance above the carts.

Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Disposal Residents may dispose of HHW during the CWD Extreme Green Events or the Trash Off Events to be held in Lancaster. Please visit or check this website for times and dates of the CWD X-treme Green Events.

Bulky Waste

Bulk Items – Acceptable

  • Washing Machines, Dryers, Water Heaters & Kitchen Appliances
  • Toys, Yard Tools & Furniture
  • Bundled Carpet in 4-Foot Lengths
  • Bagged Leaves & Loose Brush
  • Refrigerators/Freezers (MUST be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants)


Bulk Items – Prohibited

  • Commercial Construction or Remodeling Debris. Call CWD for a pick-up estimate.
  • Household Hazardous Waste (paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, etc.).
  • Tires, Batteries and Miscellaneous Automotive Parts.


Additional Trash and Bulk Items May be dropped off at the CWD Transfer Station, 2010 California Crossing, Dallas, the first Saturday of each month, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, excluding holidays. A copy of your current water bill is required. Fees will be according to volume of material.


For commercial & industrial customers we have several equipment options:

  • side-load containers: 2, 3 or 4 yard
  • front-load containers: 4, 6 or 8 yard
  • open top roll-off containers: 20, 30 or 40 yard
  • compactors: 20, 28, 30 or 35 yard


These can be hauled according to set schedules or on an “on call” basis. Temporary construction Roll-off containers are available for a single haul or for multiple hauls and can be used by both individuals as well as businesses.

CWD does NOT provide temporary restroom facility services.
