Recycling is easy in the City of Frisco. Follow these steps and we’ll do the rest:
  • Roll out your cart for service.
  • Place cart at least three (3) feet away from any obstacles.
  • Read directions on the lid.
  • Place recyclable items, which are illustrated on the lid, in your cart -- not the trash.
  • Remove caps on bottles and jars.
  • Rinse out or empty products before placing in the cart.
“DO” Recycle:
  • Aluminum and Steel Cans
  • Cardboard
  • Catalogues
  • Cereal and Dry Food boxes
  • Envelopes
  • Glass (colored and white)
  • Greeting cards
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Phone books
  • Clean Plastic Containers and Bottles - numbers 1 – 7 except 6
  • Shredded paper (please place in paper bag to avoid scattering during collection)



All Containers Must be Rinsed.


“DON’T” Recycle:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Aerosol cans
  • Ceramic cookware
  • Packing Peanuts
  • Pizza boxes
  • Styrofoam
  • Tissue Paper
  • Waxed juice/milk cartons

Do not recycle common household hazardous waste in the curbside recycling cart.
Household hazardous waste includes:

  • Paints, solvents and thinners.
  • Pool chemicals.
  • Garden fertilizers and Pesticides.
  • Propane/helium tanks.
  • Automobile products and parts.
