In partnership with the City of Forney, Community Waste Disposal provides a comprehensive program for all refuse and recycling needs. Residents should place all items at your front curb by 7 am for service between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm. Do not place items out more than 12 hours before your pick-up day.

Household trash may be in customer owned cans or disposable bags or boxes. Containers may not weight more than 50 lbs when filled.

Tied and bundled brush is not to exceed 4’ in length or weigh over 50 pounds limbs are limited to 6” in diameter, 10’ in length, 4 cubic yards in volume.

All limbs to be placed parallel to street and not blocking sidewalks.

  • Commercial construction or remodeling debris.  Call CWD for estimate for special pickup.
  • Household hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, etc)
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Miscellaneous automotive parts

Residents should place their 95 gallon recycle cart at your pick-up location by 7:00 am. All recyclables must be placed in the 95 gallon recycle cart.

Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Disposal


Call CWD (972.392.9300) by the 15th of the month prior to Collection day to be put on the HH&EW collection list. CWD will mail a collection kit to your home. The kit is comprised of a 4mm, 35 gallon plastic bag, an instruction sheet, and labels for unlabeled containers.

Bags must be placed near your entrance door, garage, or another area IN FRONT OF YOUR HOME. DO NOT PLACE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AT THE CURBSIDE

  • Do not overfill the bag
  • Only the bag provided to you may be used
  • Bag must be closed securely Items outside the bag must be placed in a cardboard box
  • Do not drag the bag
  • Pack the bag where it will be placed for collection, and place all electronics, auto batteries and fluorescent tubes outside the bag
  • Wrap fluorescent tubes together with tape if there is more than one
  • If available use the original packaging to hold the tubes and stand them up to prevent breakage

May be dropped off at the CWD Transfer Station, 2010

California Crossing, Dallas, the first Saturday of each month,

8:00 am – 1:00 pm, excluding holidays.

A copy of your current water bill is required.

Fees will be according to volume of material.


For commercial & industrial customers we have several equipment options:

  • side-load containers: 2, 3 or 4 yard
  • front-load containers: 4, 6 or 8 yard
  • open top roll-off containers: 20, 30 or 40 yard
  • compactors: 20, 28, 30 or 35 yard


These can be hauled according to set schedules or on an “on call” basis. Temporary construction Roll-off containers are available for a single haul or for multiple hauls and can be used by both individuals as well as businesses.

CWD does NOT provide temporary restroom facility services.
