In partnership with the City of Azle, Community Waste Disposal provides a comprehensive program for all refuse and recycling needs.

Trash services are provided twice weekly on your scheduled pickup days. All items must be out by 7:00 am on the designated pickup days and shall be placed at the edge of the driveway & road within ten (10) feet of the collection vehicle. Trash and Bundled items will be picked up on both of your pickup days of the week.

Bulk and Bagged leaves will be picked up on your second pickup day of the week. There is a limit of 10 bags of leaves per home, per week.

Recycle

CWD provides recycling service to the City of Azle on your first pickup day of every week.

For residents moving into newly constructed homes or into previously occupied homes, contact the city for bin delivery. Residents have the option to choose between 18 gallon bins or 65 gallon carts. By 7:00 a.m. on your pickup day, place all approved containers in your green recycle bin and all approved paper items in a brown paper sack and place all on the curb or in your alley for pickup. Do not set out newspapers if it is raining or rain is forecast.

All Containers Must be Rinsed.

“DON’T” Recycle:
  • Aluminum foil

  • Ceramic cookware
  • Packing Peanuts
  • Pizza boxes
  • Styrofoam
  • Tissue Paper
  • Waxed juice/milk cartons

Do not recycle common household hazardous waste in the curbside recycling cart.
Household hazardous waste includes:

  • Paints, solvents and thinners.
  • Pool chemicals.
  • Garden fertilizers and Pesticides.
  • Propane/helium tanks.
  • Automobile products and parts.

Bulky Waste

Bulk Collection – Bulk collection is done on your second pickup day of the week. Items qualifying for bulk pickup are appliances (freon removed and appliance certified with a tag), furniture and fencing in 4 foot by 6 foot sections. Bulky items need to be placed within 10 feet of the collection vehicle.

Items not picked up by the bulk truck are car parts ,dead animals, and hazardous materials.

Special collection of items that do not fit into the bulk item category must be arranged through CWD and are subject to an additional charge for the collection. Contact CWD at 817.795.9300 for more information on special collection items.

Brush Collection – Monthly collection on Wednesday’s using current schedule – CWD will provide once monthly service for curbside collection of unbundled brush not to exceed 20 cubic yards.  It is the intent of the CWD to recycle the collection of monthly brush. Proper preparation of unbundled brush shall have all limbs with the trunks facing the street at a 90 degree angle.  No limbs shall be greater than six (6) inches in diameter, weigh more than 50 pounds or be more than 15 feet in length. The brush pile must be free of all foreign debris.  Some examples of foreign debris are:  lumber, furniture, appliances, chain link or barbwire fencing.

Commercial

For commercial & industrial customers we have several equipment options:

  • side-load containers: 2, 3 or 4 yard
  • front-load containers: 4, 6 or 8 yard
  • open top roll-off containers: 20, 30 or 40 yard
  • compactors: 20, 28, 30 or 35 yard

These can be hauled according to set schedules or on an “on call” basis. Temporary construction Roll-off containers are available for a single haul or for multiple hauls and can be used by both individuals as well as businesses.

CWD does NOT provide temporary restroom facility services.

Q – How do I get extra trash collected or items that are not in compliance picked up?
A – You can call Customer Service and request and estimate for a special pickup, at 972.392.9300 opt 2. Estimates are free.

Q – How can I get an extra recycle bin?
A – Please pickup the recycle bin from the City of Azle.

Q – Where can I take my paint cans (hazardous waste) with paint still in them?
