Curbside Recycling
Your recyclables will be collected by Community Waste Disposal on one of your two garbage collection days. Make sure your recyclables are at the curb by 7 a.m. Locate your home on the map to determine your recycling collection day. Click Here for Recycle Map
Approved items for recycling.
- Flattened plastic bottles (caps and sprayers removed) with these numbers on the bottom: #1,2,3,4,5,7.
- All colors of unbroken glass bottles and jars.
- Tin/steel food cans - place lid inside can and squeeze opened end closed.
- Flattened aluminum drink cans.
All Containers Must be Rinsed.
Paper Items in Paper Bag
- Newspapers (including slicks)
- Magazines
- Catalogs
- Phone Books
- Office paper
- Junk mail
- Box Board (such as cereal boxes and packaging)
- Corrugated cardboard (broken down)
Do not place paper items out if raining or rain is predicted. Wet paper mildews and cannot be recycled.
Do not recycle these items:
- Plastic bags, styrofoam cups and to-go containers, lids, caps and sprayers, Aluminum foil and pie plates, wet or yellowed newspaper, ooks, cookware, ceramics, utensils, cups, dishes and glasses, light bulbs and window glass, toys and batteries, plastic containers that held hazardous materials, plastics with a #6 on the bottom
