Community Waste Disposal provides a comprehensive program for all refuse and recycling needs.
Trash services are provided twice weekly on your scheduled pickup days. All 95 gallon trash carts shall be placed at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your designated collection day, carts and recycling bins shall not be placed out for collection earlier than 5:00 p.m. of the day prior to your scheduled collection.
Trash carts and bins shall not be stored at curbside. The cart should be placed at the edge of the driveway & road with the lid closed and 4 feet of clearance space on either side and behind the cart. Please place the 95 gallon cart handle facing your house, and within 3 feet of the curb. Overloaded carts will not be serviced. After your scheduled pickup, make reasonable efforts to store carts out of public view in your garage, behind a screening fence on the property or other area wherein such cart is not visible from the street.

CWD provides recycling service to the City of Balch Springs on your second pickup day of every week.
For residents moving into newly constructed homes or into previously occupied homes, contact the city for bin delivery. By 7 a.m. on your pickup day, place all approved containers in your green recycle bin and all approved paper items in a brown paper sack and put on your curb or in your alley for pickup. Do not set out newspapers if it is raining or rain is forecast.

Do not recycle common household hazardous waste in the curbside recycling cart.
Household hazardous waste includes:
- Paints, solvents and thinners.
- Pool chemicals.
- Garden fertilizers and Pesticides.
- Propane/helium tanks.
- Automobile products and parts.

Bulk Collection – Bulk collection is done on your second pickup day of the week. Bulk piles may not exceed one cubic yard (3’ x 3’ x 3’) per week. Bulk piles that exceed one cubic yard will be assessed a fee for disposal call 972-286-4477 for large bulk pile service. Bulky items need to be placed within 10 feet of the collection vehicle.
Items not picked up by the bulk truck are car parts ,dead animals, and hazardous materials.
Brush Collection – Brush service will occur on Wednesdays. Residents may place loose brush (no more than 10 cubic yards) trimming out for service that are less than six (6) inches in diameter and less than ten (10) foot lengths. Brush piles may not exceed ten cubic yards, (7' x 10' x 4'). Piles larger than ten cubic yards will be assessed a fee for disposal, call 972-286-4477 for service of piles that exceed ten cubic yards.

For commercial & industrial customers we have several equipment options:
- side-load containers: 2-, 3- or 4-yard
- front-load containers: 4-, 6- or 8-yard
- open top roll-off containers: 20-, 30- or 40-yard
- compactors: 20-, 28-, 30- or 35-yard
These can be hauled according to set schedules or on an "on call" basis. Temporary construction Roll-off containers are available for a single haul or for multiple hauls and can be used by both individuals as well as businesses.
CWD does NOT provide temporary restroom facility services.
